Enough PIE For Everyone!

Gold Montclair, Montclair, NJ - March 13 through April 20, 2021

Review by Thomas Micchelli / Hyperallergic

The United States has, once again, been whipped into a frenzy of fear. Fearful there isn't enough for them. Like the world is a PIE and they're anxious they won't get enough of a piece. Enough PIE for Everyone! comes from ruminations on abundance instead of scarcity.
Buddhists see O as the cosmos. It is the wheel of natural law, crushing illusion with truth. It represents the heavens ,atmosphere, form and non form. The square is the earth and the circle is the universe. Grounded by the square, the landscape roams around the inside and outside of the circle with the wheel of truth bringing sanity back to thinking. Working between these two forms gave me a sense of peace and possibility during a caustic and hate filled time.
PIE becomes a repetitive sharing gesture between the circle and the square. An ode to joy and beauty and a reminder of another way to see things.
